Navigation Panel¶
The Navigation Panel provides a single, organized view of all database objects in your workbook.

Opening the Panel¶
Toggle the Navigation Panel from the View menu or the toolbar. It slides in from the left side of the screen. The main spreadsheet grid shifts to accommodate the panel.
Categories¶
Objects are grouped into collapsible sections:
| Category | Contents |
|---|---|
| Tables | Sheets that have a defined table schema. |
| Queries | Saved queries from the Visual Query Designer. |
| Forms | Data-entry forms created with the Form Builder. |
| Reports | Reports built in the Report Designer. |
| Macros | Automation macros. |
| Relationships | Defined relationships between tables. |
Click a category header to expand or collapse its list.
Search¶
A search box at the top of the panel filters objects across all categories in real time. Type a name (or partial name) to quickly locate any table, query, form, report, or macro.
Object Actions¶
- Single-click an object to select it.
- Double-click to open it (e.g., open a form in the Form Builder, open a report in the Report Designer, or navigate to a table's sheet).
- Right-click for a context menu with options such as Open, Rename, Duplicate, and Delete.
Panel Behavior¶
The panel remembers which categories are expanded. When closed, the spreadsheet grid returns to full width with a smooth transition.
